Bank of Baroda raises $700-M via overseas bonds
Mumbai-based Bank of Baroda has raised USD 700 million through a dual-tranche bond issuance to foreign investors. The transaction, conducted through the bank's branch in the International Financial Services Centre Banking unit at GIFT City, saw participation from global investors, including asset managers and pension funds.The fundraising consisted of USD 400 million in three-year bonds priced at 90 basis points above the three-year US treasury and USD 300 million in five-year securities priced at 100 basis points above the five-year US treasury. Both tranches were priced tighter than their initial guidance.The bank plans to use these proceeds to provide loans to overseas clients who can use them for deposits under the special FCNR(B) scheme.
For FY26, Bank of Baroda had reported about INR 126,994 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 20,021 Cr in PAT.
