Brookfield-Axis Energy JV Evren to raise $600-M from global lenders
A consortium of global lenders, including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, DBS, BNP Paribas, and Credit Agricole CIB, will provide about USD 600 million in credit for Brookfield’s hybrid renewable energy project located in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. This project was developed under Evren , a joint venture clean energy platform in India between Brookfield and Axis Energy.The 1.04 GW hybrid project comprises 640 MW of wind power, 400 MW of solar power, and battery energy storage. The total estimated investment for this project is about USD 1.12 Billion. Evren's overall portfolio for wind, solar, and battery storage solutions exceeds 11 GW.Brookfield has invested over USD 4 Billion in energy in India, operating a portfolio of approximately 45 GW of wind and solar assets.
In Apr 2025, Evren had attracted about USD 100 M from ALTERRA, Brookfield.For FY25, Evren had reported about INR 0.63 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 13.28 Cr in Net Loss.
