Brookfield India REIT raises Rs.2,000-Cr from IFC through sustainability-linked bonds
Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has raised INR 2,000 crore through its first sustainability-linked bonds with International Finance Corporation (IFC) as an anchor investor. The issue received participation from other domestic and international institutional investors. The listed REIT will pay a 7.06% quarterly coupon on these bonds, which have a five-year tenure.Brookfield India REIT oversees 10 grade-A assets across Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Kolkata. Its portfolio encompasses a total leasable area of 29.1 mn sq ft, with 24.6 mn sq ft operating, 0.6 mn sq ft under construction, and 3.9 mn sq ft of future development potential.A portion of the funds will be used to finance the acquisition of Ecoworld for INR 13,125 crore.
