Cholamandalam to raise Rs.2,000-Cr via perpetual bonds

Chennai-based Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company plans to raise INR 2,000 crore through the issuance of perpetual bonds. These bonds do not carry a maturity date and are callable by the issuer after 10 years.The company provides vehicle finance, home loans, SME (small and medium enterprise) loans, home equity loans, loans against property, and consumer durable loans. The firm plans to use the capital from the perpetual bond sale to bolster its capital buffer, supporting the company's credit growth.

Between Apr 10 and May 22, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company had attracted about USD 907-M from Aquarius, Creador, Multiples, New Vernon, Norwest, Apax Partners, IFC, British International Investment .For FY25, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company had reported about INR 25,745 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 4,258 Cr in PAT.
