CleanMax Enviro Energy raises $575-M for renewable energy projects

Mumbai-based CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions , a commercial and industrial renewable energy company, has raised USD 575-M to expand its solar and wind energy projects in India. The financing was provided by a consortium of domestic and international lenders through a combination of External Commercial Borrowings, INR borrowing, and Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) facilities.The raised funds are designated for the development of large-scale, Central Transmission Utility-connected renewable energy projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka, totaling approximately 1 gigawatt (GW). The financing structure aligns the borrowing currency with the company’s contracted revenue streams, utilizing a mix of USD-denominated loans for USD-backed power purchase agreements and INR-denominated loans for INR-backed agreements.

Between May 2011 and Feb 2026, Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions had attracted about $ 972 M from Bessemer, IFC, Warburg Pincus, UK Climate Investments, Augment Infrastructure, Impact Fund Denmark, Brookfield, MGA Ventures, 360 ONE, Bain Capital, Steadview Capital, Temasek and others.For FY25, Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions had reported about INR 2,270 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 298 Cr in PAT.
