HomeCapital’s digital co-lending platform raises $5-M from Symbiotics
Mumbai-based Bharat Housing Network , a tech platform of Homeville for co-lending in affordable housing, has raised USD 5 million in green bonds from Symbiotics Group. The transaction is part of a USD 75 million green basket bond programme structured by Symbiotics in partnership with British International Investment (BII).Founded by Lalit Menghani, Madhusudan Sharma, and Prasad Ajinkya, Bharat Housing Network is a secured credit network and a part of the Homeville Group. The company provides technology and infrastructure for capital deployment across various sectors, including mortgages, clean energy, mobility, and gold loans.The company plans to deploy the new capital through its group non-banking financial company (NBFC), Singularity Creditworld, to finance green assets.
Between Feb 2019 and Nov 2023, HomeCapital had attracted about USD 29 M from Astarc Ventures, Varanium Capital, BlackSoil Capital, NAB Ventures, Riverwalk Holdings, Touchstone Capital, and others.For FY25, HomeCapital had reported about INR 3 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 14 Cr in Net Loss.
