Infrastructure financier NaBFID targets $4-B in dollar funding
The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) , a state-run infrastructure financier, aims to raise approximately USD 4-B in funding by December through a combination of loans and bonds. The institution is preparing for its inaugural 10-year bond issuance, which it plans to launch before the end of September.NaBFID previously raised USD 850-M through external commercial borrowing in August. In addition to the bond issue, the company plans to raise USD 2B through loans, including a 15-year facility from the World Bank. The firm is also engaged in talks with other multilateral agencies to secure further capital.NaBFID plans to increase its outstanding loan book from INR 1.15 Trillion as of March 2026 to INR 2 Trillion by the end of the current financial year.
