JSW Energy subsidiaries raise Rs.4,000-Cr via long-term bank loans

The subsidiaries of Mumbai-based JSW Energy have raised over Rs.4,000-Cr in long-term loans. The financing was provided by Axis Bank, the Bank of Maharashtra, and the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID).These entities operate as the renewable-energy arm of JSW Energy, which is the power-generation unit of the JSW Group. The company manages an operating portfolio of 14.54 GW and aims to increase its total capacity to 30 GW by 2030. The newly raised funds are intended to finance both ongoing and future renewable energy projects, including the refinancing of projects currently under construction.The debt is structured with repayment tenures ranging from 15 to 20 years, with annual interest costs reported to be below 9%.

For FY25, Jsw Energy had reported about INR 1.05 Cr in Net Loss.
