Solar financing platform Metafin raises $10-M from Lendable
Solar financing platform Metafin has raised USD 10 million through a structured debt facility from Lendable (via its Transportation and Energy Fund).Founded by Sandeep Chopra and Aditya Shah, Metafin provides solar financing for rural MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) and households. The company operates a solar financing model integrated with a network of over 1,000 local installers and a servicing arm for deployment and maintenance and claims to finance over 6,500 solar projects across more than 4,000 villages in five states.The fresh funds will be used to expand financing for solar energy solutions across rural India, specifically for small businesses and households transitioning from diesel-based systems. It will also support financing for productive-use solar systems for MSMEs and enterprises in underserved regions.
Between Jan-23 and Apr-25, Metafin had attracted about USD 18.9 M from Prime Venture Partners, Varanium Capital, Vertex, Northern Arc Capital, Alteria Capital, InnoVen Capital, Z Nation Lab, and others.For FY25, Metafin had reported about INR 12.65 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 0.48 Cr in PAT.
