Adani Group to raise $1-B via infrastructure arm
Ahmedabad-based Adani Group plans to raise debt through its privately held entity, Adani Infra (India) , to refinance part of the loan originally taken to acquire Ambuja Cement. The group intends to leverage the infrastructure firm's order book, which exceeds INR 50,000 crore, and its annual profit of more than INR 7,000 crore to secure favourable interest rates. The group is considering raising upward of USD 1 Billion, which could be syndicated from a consortium of foreign banks or through private credit funds.Adani Infra (India) serves as the project management consultant, engineering, procurement and construction arm for the Adani Group.The Adani family had previously raised USD 3.5 Billion in debt in 2023 through a Mauritius-based entity to refinance bridge loans related to the USD 6.6 Billion acquisition of Ambuja Cement and ACC in 2022. Adani Infra reported a profit of INR 7,127 crore for FY26.
