Dalmia Bharat commences ops at Maharashtra plant acquired via insolvency process

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, a subsidiary of publicly listed Dalmia Bharat Ltd, has commenced commercial production at its Murli plant in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra. With this, it is adding 2.9 million tonnes to its installed cement capacity of 35.9 million tonnes. It also gives the company access to the western market. The company acquired the plant for INR 410 crore under an IBC process and invested INR 900 crore for the revival, modernisation, expansion and installing green manufacturing equipment.
