Green energy financier Credit Fair secures $5-M from Symbiotics Investments
Mumbai-based non-banking financial company (NBFC) Credit Fair has raised USD 5 million from the USD 75 million Green Basket Bond issued by Symbiotics Investments, subscribed to by British International Investment (BII).Credit Fair will deploy the fund across 2,500 new rooftop solar projects aimed at reduction of carbon emissions and providing sustainable energy solutions. It will also expand its presence in the rooftop solar financing space, primarily targeting residential as well as MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) customers, including housing societies, in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.Founded in 2018 by Aditya Damani and Vikas Agarwal, Credit Fair is dedicated to empowering communities with accessible green energy financing solutions.
Between Nov 2021 and Dec 2022, Credit Fair had raised about USD 14 M in equity and debt from Capital A, LC Nueva and others.
