Muthoot Finance raises $600-M in senior secured notes at 6.38%

Kochi-based gold loan player Muthoot Finance has raised USD 600 million in senior secured notes at a 6.375% coupon rate under its USD 2 Billion global medium-term note programme. The instruments will mature in March 2030. The proceeds from the issue will be used for onward lending.Founded in 1939, Muthoot Finance offers housing loans, small business loans, personal loans, domestic and international money transfer services, foreign exchange services, insurance, and wealth management services in addition to gold loans.

Between Jul 2010 and Mar 2012, Muthoot Finance had attracted about USD 88 M from Baring India, Z47, Kotak Alternate and others.For FY24, Muthoot Finance had reported about INR 15,062 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 4,468 Cr in PAT.
