NaBFID to raise Rs.20,000-Cr via zero-coupon bonds
Mumbai-based National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has received the government’s approval to raise Rs.20,000-Cr through the issuance of zero-coupon bonds.Established in 2021, NaBFID provides long-term financing support for infrastructure projects across sectors, including roads, renewable energy, power transmission, airports, ports, urban infrastructure, and digital infrastructure. The firm plans to use the newly raised funds to support its long-term capital mobilisation strategy for infrastructure financing.The zero-coupon bonds will be issued at a discount and redeemed at face value upon maturity. The firm will issue 2 million bonds with an issue value of Rs.10,286.12-Cr, with investors receiving the full redemption amount after a 10-year tenure.
