ReNew Energy Global raises $600-M through bonds at 6.5% coupon
Gurugram- and London-based renewable energy company ReNew Energy Global Plc has raised USD 600 million through a bond issuance at a coupon rate of 6.5% for a five-year tenure. This debt was secured via the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City, Gujarat, and was oversubscribed four times, attracting investors from Asia, the UK, and the US. The current bond rate is 1.4% lower than the company's previous USD 525 million bond issue in 2023.The bond issuance follows the shelving of ReNew's delisting plan from Nasdaq after UAE’s Masdar withdrew its USD 1 billion cash offer in December, exiting a consortium that proposed to take the company private.As of September 30, 2025, ReNew's portfolio included 18.5 GW of energy capacity and 1.1 GWh of battery energy storage systems.
