Satya MicroCapital secures $60-M from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp
New Delhi-headquartered, NBFC MFI Satya MicroCapital Ltd has raised USD 60 million from Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. The company will use the funds to improve operational efficiency, work on new credit offerings and expand its product portfolio. Established in October 2016, Satya is a micro lender with over INR 5,000 crore in Assets Under Management (AUM). It has a network of more than 500 branches spanning over 50,000 villages across 25 states. The company claims to have extended credit services to more than 15 lakh women entrepreneurs.
