SC gives SpiceJet three-week reprieve from winding up order
The Supreme Court has given air carrier SpiceJet three weeks to resolve its dispute over the non-payment of more than USD 24 million to a Swiss company towards maintenance, repairs and overhaul of aircraft engines and components. SpiceJet, which is embroiled in a tussle with Credit Suisse, had approached the Supreme Court, seeking relief against the winding up order of the Madras High Court. The high court had stayed the operation of the order for a brief period allowing the airline to exercise its legal remedy of an appeal.
