API s’ware unicorn Postman acquires US-based developer community platform Orbit

India- and US-based API-software focused Postman has acquired San Francisco, CA (USA)-based Orbit , a community growth platform for developer tools oriented companies.Orbit was founded in 2019 and is backed by US-based venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Heavybit, and others. Orbit helps developer companies manage and grow their communities across forums, chat platforms, and social channels providing insights, automations, and engagement capabilities.Postman is backed by early-stage firm Nexus Venture Partners, and US-based Charles River Ventures (CRV). It joined India’s unicorn club in 2020 after raising USD 150 million in a Series C round led by US-based Insight Partners at a USD 2 Billion valuation.
