Astral to acquire 60% stake in specialty chemicals maker DSS for Rs.39.11 Cr
Ahmedabad-based Astral Chemie Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly listed Astral Ltd, is to acquire a 60% interest in Bharuch-based specialty chemicals manufacturer Differentiated and Sustainable Solutions (DSS) for INR 39.11 crore in cash.Founded in 2015, DSS develops technology for specialty chemicals and materials, including polyamines, epoxies, and high-purity bismaleimides used in sectors such as electronics, aerospace, renewable energy, and infrastructure. The company operates a manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 5,200 metric tonnes.Astral plans to use this acquisition to support backward integration of key raw materials and expand its technical capabilities across adhesives, coatings, and construction chemicals. The firm also aims to leverage this deal to enter new industrial segments, including electronics, infrastructure, and renewable energy.
