Aurobindo Pharma’s realty arm buys heritage hotel Taj Banjara in Hyderabad for Rs.315-Cr

Real estate developer Auro Realty, promoted by the Aurobindo Pharma promoter group, has acquired the heritage Hotel Taj Banjara in Hyderabad from Hotel Banjara for INR 315 crore. The hotel overlooking the Banjara Lake in a premium neighbourhood in Hyderabad has more than 270 guest rooms. The deal includes 16,645 sq yards of land and 1,22,751 sq ft of built-up area.The five-star hotel operated by the Taj Group of Hotels was temporarily sealed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in February 2025 over unpaid property taxes of about INR 1.43 crore. It reopened after Indian Hotels Company, which owns the Taj Group, paid part of the dues.
