BrowserStack acquires Norwegian test automation framework Nightwatch.js

Mumbai-based website testing platform BrowserStack has acquired Oslo-based Nightwatch.js, an open-source test automation framework. Nightwatch.js, a Node.js-powered end-to-end test automation framework, is stated to be among the fastest-growing Selenium-based tools with 1 million monthly npm installs and over 10.5k GitHub stars. Post deal, the BrowserStack and Nightwatch.js teams expect to make the framework better by improving the overall experience for developers

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Jan-18 and Jun-21, BrowserStack raised $250-M from Bond Capital, Insight Venture Partners, Accel India and Accel USA.
