Chalet Hotels in talks to acquire luxury wellness retreat Six Senses Vana for Rs.600-Cr

Mumbai-headquartered Chalet Hotels is in talks to acquire Six Senses Vana , a luxury wellness retreat located in Dehradun, for about INR 600-Cr. The property is currently owned by Veer Singh, the son of Max Group founder Analjit Singh, and is managed by the hospitality brand Six Senses.Six Senses Vana operates as a luxury wellness destination and was gifted to Veer Singh as part of a family succession plan. The brand itself is part of the portfolio of the UK-based IHG Hotels & Resorts.Chalet Hotels, which is part of the K Raheja Corp group, plans to use the acquisition to expand its footprint in the luxury hospitality segment. The company has recently focused on premiumising its portfolio, including projects like the development of a Ritz Carlton hotel in Hyderabad and the acquisition of properties in Rishikesh and Udaipur. Chalet Hotels is also constructing a hotel at the Delhi airport to be managed by the Indian Hotels company under the Taj brand.
