Chip design firm Sophic Silicon Tech acquired by US-based Mixx

San Jose, USA-based deep-tech company Mixx Technologies has acquired the Bengaluru-based chip design firm Sophic Silicon Technologies .Sophic Silicon Technologies builds intellectual property (IP) and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions for wireless communication, artificial intelligence (AI), and power management. It specializes in analog mixed-signal circuits, radio frequency (RF) design, and high-speed interfaces.Mixx focuses on silicon photonics and co-packaged optics platforms. The firm plans to use the resources and design expertise gained from the acquisition to address data transfer and latency challenges within data centers. Post-transaction, Sophic’s founder Deepak Pancholi will join the firm as vice president of IC design.
