Cognizant to acquire US-based AI infra focused IT Services co. Astreya for $600-M

Cognizant Technology is to acquire San Jose, CA (USA)-based Astreya , an IT services provider specialising in AI infrastructure and data center services, for about USD 600 million.Founded in 2001, Astreya manages data center infrastructure, AI lab environments, and enterprise networks for six major technology firms. Beyond its Silicon Valley HQ, Astreya has a significant global presence, including an innovation and delivery hub in Hyderabad, India, and offices in Singapore and Dublin.This deal is part of Cognizant's strategy to enhance its AI business, building on previous acquisitions of tech consulting firm 3Cloud in January and digital engineering firm Belcan in 2024. Cognizant has also expanded partnerships with Microsoft and AI startup Anthropic.
