Crystal Crop to acquire global agri-firm FMC’s India biz for $252-M

Delhi-based Crystal Crop Protection is to acquire the India commercial business Philadelphia, USA-based global agricultural sciences company FMC Corporation, for USD 252 million.FMC India provides crop protection solutions and operates within the agricultural sciences sector. As part of the deal, Crystal Crop Protection will acquire the commercial operations of the target, including various product licenses. Additionally, the companies have established a preferred supply agreement, granting Crystal Crop Protection access to specific FMC active ingredients, formulated products, and its future pipeline of crop protection technologies in India. FMC intends to use the proceeds from this divestment to reduce its debt.FMC will maintain its global research, development, and manufacturing operations in India.
