Dalmia Bharat to acquire Jaypee Cement assets for Rs.2,850-Cr

Publicly Listed New Delhi-based Dalmia Bharat Limited has executed a business transfer agreement with Jaiprakash Associates Limited and Adani Infra (India) Limited to acquire a portfolio of cement assets at an enterprise value of INR 2,850 crore. The transaction is being implemented under the Adani Group-led resolution plan for Jaiprakash Associates Limited.The acquired assets consist of an integrated unit at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, grinding units at Chunar and Churk, and a blending unit at Sadwa in Uttar Pradesh. It covers a total cement capacity of 5.2 MTPA, a clinker capacity of 3.3 MTPA, 99 MW of thermal power capacity, and associated railway siding infrastructure. Dalmia Bharat expects commercial production from these facilities to commence in the second quarter of FY27.Following this acquisition, Dalmia Bharat’s total cement capacity will increase from 49.5 MTPA to 54.7 MTPA. The company is also pursuing ongoing expansion projects in Belgaum, Pune, and Kadapa, which are projected to reach a total capacity of 66.7 MTPA by FY28.
