Edtech co. PhysicsWallah ups stake in Utkarsh Classes from 63% to 76% for Rs.27-Cr

Publicly listed PhysicsWallah has made an additional investment in its Jodhpur-based subsidiary Utkarsh Classes , increasing its stake from 63.25% to 75.50%, valued at INR 26.50 crore, which involved the acquisition of 25,599 equity shares from existing shareholders. The acquisition is part of a multi-tranche Share Acquisition Terms Agreement (SATA) initiated in February 2023, through which PhysicsWallah plans to get 100% ownership in Utkarsh Classes.Founded in November 2018, Utkarsh Classes manages coaching centres, offering educational content and course materials. The company reported a turnover of INR 168.96 crore in FY25, INR 146.97 crore in FY24, and INR 158.92 crore in FY23.
