Edtech startup upGrad earmarks $250-M for M&As

Deals in the Making M&A Reliance Industries looks to buy Norway’s solar module maker REC Mint R  

Mumbai-based edtech startup UpGrad has earmarked USD 250 million for mergers and acquisitions over the next 7-9 months on the back of its funding round earlier this year. The company, promoted by media entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala, had raised USD 120 million in April from Singapore's sovereign fund Temasek which valued it at USD 575-675 million.
