Edtech unicorn Byju's acquires Austrian math-learning tools firm GeoGebra for $100-M

Edtech unicorn Byju's has acquired Austria-headquartered GeoGebra for about USD 100 million. GeoGebra offers an interactive and collaborative mathematics learning tool. This acquisition complements Byju's product strategy and integrates GeoGebra's capabilities to enable the creation of new product offerings and learning formats to its mathematics portfolio. GeoGebra will continue to operate as an independent unit within the Byju's group under the leadership of its founder and developer Markus Hohenwarter. GeoGebra, claims to have over 100 million learners across 195 countries, bringing together geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics and calculus in one easy-to-use format.
