France's Virbac to acquire animal vaccine maker Globion

Euronext Paris listed Virbac, a French company dedicated to animal health located in Carros (near Nice), has acquired Globion, a Hyderabad-based poultry vaccine company. Globion was founded in 2005 as a joint venture between the Coimbatore-based, poultry-focused Suguna Group and Lohmann Animal Health, a German poultry vaccines specialist. Veda Corporate Advisors were the advisors to Suguna and Globion in this transaction. Globion specialises in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of live and inactivated vaccines targeting a large array of avian pathogens. Globion employs around 120 full-time staff at its industrial and R&D facilities and generates about EUR 12 million (about INR 105 crore) in annual revenue.
