Freshworks acquires US-based IT asset mgmt co Device42 for $230-M
Chennai- and San Mateo, California (USA)-based, Nasdaq-listed Freshworks has acquired West Haven, CT (USA)-based tech asset management company Device42 for USD 230 million. Device42 offers discovery, asset management and dependency mapping for data centres and the cloud. Device42 has about 800 customers.The acquisition would enable Freshworks to expand into IT and backend solutions and allow it to better compete with larger enterprise software providers who offer a full suite of services from front-end customer engagement to backend operations management.
