Game Theory acquires sports analytics startup Matchday.ai
Bengaluru-headquartered real sports gaming platform Game Theory has acquired Hyderabad-based sports analytics startup Matchday.ai. The tech stack of Matchday.ai, which uses computer vision and AI capabilities, was the main reason for the acquisition. Game Theory will also acquire the talent that built Matchday's tech stack. Game Theory offers a platform that can connect badminton, squash and swimming enthusiasts, as well as track their scores and monitor health levels. Last month, Game Theory picked USD 2 million in funding from Zerodha's venture arm Rainmatter Capital, tennis player Rohan Bopanna, WEH Ventures, Prequate Advisory and angel investors including Balakrishna Adiga.
