Gaming co. Nazara Technologies to divest e-sports, adtech verticals

Mumbai-based Nazara Technologies plans to divest its e-sports and adtech business units to sharpen its focus on core gaming segments.The company operates its e-sports business primarily through its Gurugram-based subsidiary, Nodwin Gaming , which manages gaming tournaments, creator networks, and events under various brands.The adtech vertical includes a majority stake in Bengaluru-based Datawrkz , which specializes in digital advertising, monetisation, and user acquisition.
Between Oct 2005 and Jan 2025, Nazara Technologies had attracted about $405-M from Think Investments, Plutus Wealth Management, GIC, Orchid Asia, Rare Enterprises, 360 ONE, WestBridge, and others.For FY25, Nazara Technologies had reported about INR 34 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 28 Cr in PAT.In Sep 2020, Nodwin Gaming had attracted funding from Pratithi Investments, and others.For FY25, Nodwin Gaming had reported about INR 205 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 35 Cr in Net Loss.
