Grocery retail chain Modern Bazaar in talks with Reliance Retail, others for majority stake sale: re
New Delhi-based Modern Bazaar has initiated talks with several entities, including Reliance Retail and the DS Group-owned Le Marche, to explore a potential outright majority stake sale or a strategic equity partnership.Founded in 1971, Modern Bazaar is a gourmet grocery retail chain that operates 18 large-format premium supermarket stores across Delhi-NCR, Noida, and Chandigarh. The company plans to use the resources from a potential partnership to support its growth plans, which include scaling its store count to 116 by FY30 and launching a new distribution center in Chhattarpur, Delhi.
For FY25, Modern Bazaar had reported about INR 247 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 1 Cr in PAT.
