Indraprastha Gas explores stake acquisitions in city gas distribution firms
New Delhi-based Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), the largest compressed natural gas distribution company in India, is exploring the acquisition of stakes in existing city gas distribution firms.IGL provides compressed natural gas and piped natural gas infrastructure across several cities in Northern India. The firm is also expanding into renewable energy, having entered into a joint venture agreement with Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam to develop a 500 MW greenfield solar power plant.
