Japanese firm Oji acquires 80% stake in container manufacturer Empire Packages
Japan's Oji Holdings Corporation has acquired 80% of the issued shares of Empire Packages Pvt Ltd, which is a corrugated container manufacturer in Northern India. Empire provides services to fortune 500 companies and large FMCG companies. Empire will be Oji Group's 35th corrugated container plant in South East Asia, India and Oceania. For the FY ending March 2021, Empire had a Revenue of INR 100 crore as against INR 90 crore in FY 2020. GCA acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Oji in the transaction.
