JK Tyre eyes acquisitions

New Delhi-based JK Tyre & Industries intends to pursue acquisitions to further scale operations and manufacturing capabilities, following the successful turnaround of three past acquisitions. The company is simultaneously preparing to invest INR 6,000 crore over the next three years to expand capacity across its truck, bus, and passenger vehicle segments.The firm has previously turned around the Cavendish Industries tyre business, the Tornel unit in Mexico, and the Vikrant Tyres plant in Mysore. JK Tyre plans to use the investment to prioritise leadership in premium market segments and electric vehicle tyres for buses and to increase the share of exports in its revenue to 15%.In the financial year 2026, the company reported a net profit of INR 776 crore, a 52% increase, and revenue of INR 16,327 crore, reflecting an 11% growth.
