JSW Energy to acquire Reliance Power's wind project for Rs.132-Cr

JSW Renewable Energy Coated Ltd, a step down subsidiary of JSW Energy Ltd, will acquire the 45 MW “Vashpet Wind Project” from fellow publicly listed Reliance Power Ltd for INR 132 crore. The project is located at Jath, Sangli District, Maharashtra.JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 12.5 GW comprising 7.2 GW operational, 2.6 GW under construction across the wind, thermal, and hydro, and LoA/LoIs for 2.7 GW capacity from Solar Energy Corporation of India (Solar Tranche XIII and Wind Tranche XVI), SJVN (formerly Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam), and GUVNL (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd).
