Manjushree Technopack buys packaging co Classy Kontainers

Bengaluru-based Manjushree Technopack (MTL), one of India's largest packaging companies, has acquired Mumbai-based Classy Kontainers, India's largest custom-molded rigid packaging supplier, to further consolidate its presence in the fast growing segment. Post deal, Advent International-backed MTL will have access to all production units of Classy Kontainers located in five cities and serve the latter's existing clientele in the paints, adhesives, speciality chemicals and FMCG segments. Manjushree was advised by Khaitan & Co, while Classy Kontainers was advised by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Unaprime Investment Advisors.
