Max Healthcare acquires 58.4% in Kalinga Hospital for Rs.300-Cr

New Delhi-based publicly listed Max Healthcare is to acquire 58.4% in Bhubaneswar-based Kalinga Hospital Limited (KHL) - from Hospital Corporation of Orissa - for INR 300 crore (equity value).Kalinga Hospital is a 250-bed, NABH-accredited facility located in Maitri Vihar, Bhubaneswar. It reported INR 135.63 crore revenue from operations during FY25. The hospital offers services across specialities, including neurology, cardiology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, renal sciences, and oncology, alongside diagnostic and radiology facilities. It serves patients from Odisha and neighbouring states such as West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh.This acquisition is intended to strengthen Max Healthcare’s presence in the eastern region, with expectations of operational upside and brownfield potential. The transaction's completion is subject to specific conditions.
