Milky Mist acquires processed foods maker Asal Foods

Erode-based private dairy Milky Mist Dairy Food has acquired Bengaluru-based Asal Foods Industries, to make an entry into daily needs consumer products. Milky Mist, which has a supply chain with over 15,000 freezers across the country, expects the average revenue per freezer to grow 3X with the latest acquisition. Started in 2012, Asal Foods manufactures ready-to-cook and daily consumption products like idli dosa batter, vada batter, roti and wheat paratha. Post deal, Milky Mist will retain the Asal brand.
