Multiplex chain PVR INOX sells 4700BC snacking brand to Marico for Rs.227-Cr

New Delhi-based Zea Maize Pvt Ltd, which operates the snacking brand ‘ 4700BC ’, has been acquired by Marico Ltd. PVR INOX divested its 93.27 % stake in the firm for INR 226.8 crore. Axis Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co acted as the legal advisor to PVR INOX for this transaction.Founded in 2013 by Chirag Gupta, 4700BC is a premium gourmet snacking brand known for its popcorn, popped chips, makhana, crunchy corn, and nachos.
