NHAI finalizes 17 highway projects spanning 1,692 km for monetization
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has finalized a tentative list of 17 national highway projects spanning 1,692.5 km for monetization during the 2026-27 financial year.The proposed assets are located across Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra. This list excludes projects identified for the Raajmarg Infra Investment Trust.The initiative is part of a strategy to mobilise capital for infrastructure development through the Toll-Operate-Transfer and Infrastructure Investment Trust models. The agency intends to assist investors and bidders in planning their capital allocation for these assets, which are situated along key economic and logistics corridors.The NHAI aims to use this exercise to attract long-term institutional investment to support the modernisation and expansion of the national highway network. The selected stretches are noted for their traffic potential and connectivity significance.
