Pharma co. Granules India acquires Swiss firm Senn Chemicals for Rs.192-Cr

Hyderabad-based, publicly listed Granules India has acquired Dielsdorf, Switzerland-based CDMO (contract development and manufacturing organization) Senn Chemicals AG for CHF 20 million (around INR 192 crore). The acquisition is expected to help Granules expand into the peptide-based anti-diabetic and anti-obesity market, including GLP-1 receptor agonists and other next-generation therapeutics.The acquisition would include Senn’s existing CDMO business and customer relationships, as well as its R&D and manufacturing platform.Senn develops and manufactures peptides and peptides-based applications for its global customers.
