Samvardhana Motherson makes 3 acquisitions costing over Rs.380-Cr

Publicly listed Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd (SAMIL) has announced three acquisitions valued at over INR 380 crore in aerospace, health and medical sectors to strengthen its non-automotive businesses. The company has acquired French company AD Industries, which is in the business of manufacturing components for aircraft engines, for Euros 35 million (around INR 310 crore). AD Industries manufactures a range of components and sub-assemblies, and has capabilities across four divisions - sheet metal, hydraulics, mechanical assemblies, and composites. Besides, Motherson has also acquired aerospace defence and security firm SMAST for nearly INR 25 crore. It has also completed the acquisition of France-based Cirma this year besides CIM Tools in 2022. In the medical segment, Motherson will acquire Irillic Pvt Ltd, a maker of real-time fluorescence imaging and 4K laparoscopy imaging systems for the medical device ecosystem, for INR 46.6 crore through a combination of primary infusion and secondary acquisition. Upon closing of the transaction, SAMIL will hold an over 74% stake in Irillic.
