Samvardhana Motherson to acquire 30% stake from Korean partner in autocomp JV for Rs.6 Cr

Publicly-listed Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd (formerly Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd) is to acquire an additional 30% stake of Youngshin Motherson Auto Tech Limited (YMAT) from its Korea-based joint venture partner, Youngshin Components Co. Ltd., for INR 6 crore in cash. The deal will result in the acquirer increasing its stake in YMAT to 80%. YMAT manufactures and assembles auto clutch products. It had reported a turnover of INR 66.2 Cr in CY 2022, with a YoY growth of 67%.
