Seafood startup Captain Fresh acquires US-based distributor CenSea
Bengaluru-headquartered B2B (business-to-business) seafood startup Captain Fresh has acquired CenSea , IL (USA)-based frozen fish and seafood importer and distributor in a cash-and-stock deal, with 90% of the consideration being paid in cash.CenSea, a family-owned seafood company since 1960, is an importer of frozen seafood in the US.Captain Fresh acquired a French shrimp distributor, and is in talks for more acquisitions in the European market.
