SII acquires 50% stake in pharma packaging co Schott Kaisha
Pune-based vaccine major Serum Institute of India (SII) has acquired a 50% stake in Mumbai-based pharma packaging firm Schott Kaisha Pvt Ltd, to become a joint venture (JV) partner of German specialty glass company Schott AG. SII has acquired the stake from former co-owners Kairus Dadachanji and Shapoor Mistry. The JV is engaged in making vials, syringes, ampoules and cartridges used to package life-saving medications.
