Solar Industries to acquire mining & agri-focused South African co. Omnia for $1.36 B

Nagpur-based industrial explosives maker Solar Industries is to acquire Omnia Holdings , a Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed, South Africa-based company providing a range of products and services to the mining and agricultural sectors, in an all-cash transaction valued at about USD 1.36 Billion (INR 12,951 crores).Omnia has an operational presence across 23 countries and serves customers in more than 40 nations. For FY26, it had reported revenue of approximately USD 1.41 billion (INR 13,307 crore).In 2024, Solar had acquired ProBlast, a South African company specialising in open-cast mining, drilling, blasting and explosives services.
