Speciality chemicals player Anupam Rasayan to acquire Bliss GVS Pharma for Rs.1,360-Cr

Surat-based provider of custom synthesis and speciality chemicals Anupam Rasayan India is to acquire a 74.2% stake in Mumbai-based, also publicly listed, formulations maker Bliss GVS Pharma for over INR 1,360 crore. The transaction includes an initial purchase of a 43.3% to 48.2% stake, followed by an open offer to the public shareholders of Bliss GVS Pharma. The purchase has been financed through INR 300 crore through a term loan.Established in 1984, Bliss GVS Pharma develops, markets and exports suppositories, pessaries, tablets, capsules, syrups, injectables, creams, and ointments. The company maintains a portfolio of over 150 branded formulations across therapeutic areas such as anti-malarial, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and women’s health. Its operations extend across markets in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.Anupam Rasayan intends to use the acquisition to integrate its operations within the global life sciences and specialty pharmaceutical sectors.
For FY25, Bliss GVS had reported about INR 667 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 69 Cr in PAT.
